Summary: A historian-turned-diplomat tells his daughter the creepy story of his obsession with finding Vlad the Impaler's tomb. Kostova starts promisingly, but by page 100 of the 642 pages, has descended into Da Vinci Code territory. This might have been bearable had it not been for the continental drift like pace of the storytelling.
