Offshore - Penelope Fitzgerald

There were some mixed feelings about this book, and a range of scores to reflect those feelings. Whilst some felt it was inconsequential and dull, with irrelevant characters, others enjoyed the snapshot of some ordinary people living unusual lives. Nothing much happened, and the things that did happen didn't have a major impact, and the people just got on with their existences.
