Summary: Set in Glasgow in the 1970s, we were undecided as to whether this excused the sexism and the cliché of the angst-ridden detective who breaks all the rules to catch the bad guy. Not so much a murder mystery (we know who did if from early on, even if they don't) as a race to find the killer. The problem being we mostly didn't really care which gang of thugs - police or otherwise - got to him first.
