Summary: Chick-lit novelist gathers material for her new novel by her inviting friends to a secretly wired-up house by the sea for a month. Non-characters, irritiating narrator and lack of plot meant that a great Virginia-Woolf-meets-Big-Brother concept was wasted -- and that the Author's surname risks becoming reading group rhyming slang.
