Summary: This gave rise to mixed feelings - some of us really enjoyed the dissection of relationships, and watching parenthood go horribly wrong ... Others were intensely irritated by the minutiae of the descriptions of an entire artist's oeuvre, which were hard to avoid through the book, and either entranced or infuriated.
