Summary: Book based around eight lectures delivered by an aging, fictional Australian novelist. After making her life's work the study of other people, Costello now becomes an object of scrutiny. The consensus was that it was more enjoyable to discuss than to read (especially as we discussed it whilst locked inside Blackwell's after dark).
